Active version v1.1

Beautybox.ee rental terms

This version takes effect when it is published. A booking is governed by the version shown before confirmation and stored with that booking.

1. Lessor and contact details

The lessor is Rentbox Eesti OÜ (registry code 17268244), Rapla maakond, Kohila vald, Aespa alevik, Nööbi tn 10, 79705, Estonia. Customer service: hello@beautybox.ee, +372 5365 0007. Beautybox.ee provides short-term rental of beauty devices to consumers.

Your Beautybox.ee beauty-device rental contract is with Rentbox Eesti OÜ. These terms cover our own rental service; rules for intermediating tools belonging to other owners are not part of this contract. The particular device, included items, handover location and usage restrictions described on the product page and booking summary supplement these terms.

2. Booking and formation of the contract

The customer selects the device, rental period, handover method and payment method and, before assuming an obligation to pay, confirms the price, deposit terms and applicable legal documents. A provisional lock or a pending payment or identity check does not yet mean that the booking has been finally confirmed. The rental contract is formed when Beautybox.ee marks the booking as confirmed and records the time of contract formation; the customer is sent confirmation on a durable medium.

The renter must be a natural person who has sufficient legal capacity for the transaction and meets the minimum age applicable in the booking flow at that time. The customer must provide accurate information. A booking may remain unconfirmed where the required payment, phone or identity check fails, the device is unavailable, the account is lawfully blocked or earlier obligations remain outstanding.

Before confirming payment, check the device's suitability, dates, times and total price. Keep your account and booking access details private and report unauthorised activity to support. A security restriction on the account does not remove rights under an existing contract or the law.

3. Rental period, price and changes

New bookings use only the daily price displayed for the product. Each started 24-hour period is billed as one rental day; hourly and special weekend rates do not apply. Each started 24-hour period of an extension is also billed as one additional rental day. Selected extras and any cleaning fee are shown separately before confirmation.

The rental period, rental fee, taxes, any cleaning fee, deposit amount, discount and total amount payable are displayed before the order is confirmed. The rental period starts at the handover time stated in the booking and ends at the stated return deadline.

The rental period may be extended only by prior agreement and if the device has not been booked by another customer. The platform has no self-service rescheduling function: to change the time, the customer must make a new booking and cancel the existing booking under the rules below.

4. Payment and security deposit

New bookings have a zero-euro deposit: no deposit is charged or held on the card. Earlier bookings retain their recorded deposit amount and terms. The deposit settlement provisions below apply only where a positive deposit was recorded for the booking.

The deposit method shown before confirmation is stored with the booking. One of the following methods may apply:

  • pre-authorisation: the payment provider places a hold for the deposit amount on the card, but this is not yet treated as a charged payment; an amount may later be captured for a justified claim;
  • charged deposit: the deposit is actually charged to the card and the unused balance is refunded after the return and any claims have been resolved.

The deposit method, amount and amount payable at that time are displayed at checkout before the customer confirms. The deposit is not a contractual penalty. It may be used only for contractual and documented claims, such as a missing device or accessory, damage beyond normal wear, exceptional cleaning or late return. If the claim exceeds the deposit, the lessor may separately claim the documented difference. An unused pre-authorisation is released and an unused charged deposit is refunded; when this becomes visible depends on the payment provider and the customer's bank.

Stripe processes card payments. The payment screen shows the amount before confirmation; your bank may require additional authentication. A pending payment or an amount reserved by the bank does not by itself prove that the rental is confirmed. If payment is interrupted, first check the booking status or contact support.

Accepting these terms or paying for one rental by card does not give general permission to collect new amounts from the card later. A late-return, damage or exceptional-cleaning claim is presented with its basis and calculation. A separate card payment requires the customer's corresponding payment confirmation or a valid, clearly given payment mandate; no new automatic card payment is made without one. Settlement of a deposit already authorised for an earlier booking remains within that booking's recorded mandate and terms.

5. Identity, phone and handover

A booking may require verification of the phone number and the renter's identity. For an in-person handover, an authorised employee may compare the customer with an original identity document. If remote verification is offered in the booking flow, it is carried out through the named service provider, for example Veriff, and the required data and evidence are described in the privacy policy and verification view.

The device is handed over in person or through the smart locker named in the booking. A locker link, QR code and PIN are personal and must not be shared. Access is activated only after the required booking, payment and identity checks have been confirmed and is valid only for the period stated in the booking. The customer is responsible for keeping access credentials secure and must report suspected disclosure immediately.

6. Use of the device and customer obligations

The customer must:

  • inspect the visible condition of the device and set at handover and report any defect at the first opportunity;
  • use the device only for its intended purpose and follow the manufacturer's safety information and any instructions made available for that device;
  • ask for assistance before use if instructions are missing or unclear, and not use the device until the uncertainty is resolved;
  • not give the device or locker access to a third party;
  • keep the device dry and secure and not open, repair or modify it without authorisation;
  • stop using it and contact the lessor in the event of a fault, damage, unusual reaction or safety concern;
  • return the device on time with the complete set stated in the booking.

The devices do not replace medical diagnosis or treatment. The customer must follow the manufacturer's contraindications and, where necessary, seek advice from a healthcare professional before use.

7. Hygiene and return

A cleaning, disinfection or inspection action is treated as confirmed only where the corresponding status has been documented. The lessor does not claim that every device has been disinfected before every rental unless this has been confirmed for that device. A device with a documented maintenance requirement is not handed over. Detailed user cleaning and return instructions are set out in the hygiene and return rules.

Before return, the customer removes ordinary visible dirt only in a manner permitted by the device instructions. The device must not be immersed in water or treated with a substance not permitted by the manufacturer. Its condition is inspected on return. Photographs are required or taken mainly where damage, a missing item or a fault is reported or identified and evidence upload is enabled in the relevant flow; there may be no photographs of an ordinary return.

8. Late return and failure to collect

A free grace period of one hour applies after the return deadline. If the device has not been returned by the end of that hour, a fee of EUR 15 for each commenced hour of delay is added. Accrual ends when the device is actually returned. Delay does not unilaterally extend the rental period.

If a device under a confirmed booking is not collected during the entire rental period, the system may cancel the booking as a no-show after the rental period ends. In that case the rental fee is not refunded; an unused deposit pre-authorisation is released or a charged deposit is refunded if there is no other justified claim. Smart-locker access is revoked.

9. Cancellation and the 14-day right of withdrawal

Before the rental starts, the customer can cancel through the action available in their account or through the Beautybox.ee withdrawal form. An unambiguous declaration of withdrawal may also be sent to hello@beautybox.ee.

  • If the customer withdraws within 14 days of contract formation and the rental has not started, the platform treats this as withdrawal without a cancellation fee.
  • If the customer expressly requests the rental service to start before the 14-day period ends and acknowledges that the right of withdrawal ends after full performance, that right ends when the service is fully performed. A separate confirmation, unchecked by default, is requested; accepting the general terms does not replace it. A declaration submitted after the rental starts is reviewed manually; where permitted by law, the customer may have to pay an amount proportionate to the part already performed.
  • Outside the 14-day withdrawal period, cancellation before the start is generally free, but 50% of the rental fee is retained where a confirmed booking is cancelled less than 24 hours before the start.
  • The 50% calculation uses the agreed rental fee after the discount allocated to the rental, not the undiscounted list price. Exercising the statutory right of withdrawal is not conditional on paying this cancellation fee.
  • Self-service cancellation is unavailable after the rental starts. The declaration is recorded and its legal and financial consequences are reviewed manually.

The online [withdrawal form](/withdrawal) lets you submit a declaration without signing in. Provide the requested details, review the declaration and confirm its submission. A declaration matched to a booking is recorded with its submission time and a receipt is sent to the booking email address. If no receipt arrives or the form does not work, send the declaration to hello@beautybox.ee within the applicable deadline. No reason for withdrawal is required.

For a valid withdrawal, the statutory refund is made without undue delay and no later than 14 days after receipt of the declaration. We use the same payment method unless a different method without a fee has been expressly agreed with the customer. A device already handed over must be returned as agreed; any calculation for service already provided or postponement of a refund must be supported by the law applicable to that contract. The customer's bank or payment provider may take longer to display the refund. Late-return, cancellation and no-show rules do not restrict mandatory consumer rights. Using a device or bringing it into contact with skin does not in itself automatically end the right of withdrawal.

Sample withdrawal declaration

The declaration may be sent to hello@beautybox.ee. Using this sample is optional.

  • Recipient: Rentbox Eesti OÜ, hello@beautybox.ee.
  • I hereby withdraw from the beauty-device rental contract.
  • Booking number, device and rental period: [complete].
  • Date the contract was concluded: [complete].
  • Renter's name and contact details: [complete].
  • Date of declaration: [complete].

No reason, card details or copy of an identity document is required to withdraw. If necessary, we will request minimal additional information to match the declaration to the booking.

10. Damage, missing items and additional charges

The customer is responsible during the rental period for loss, theft, missing items and damage beyond normal wear to the extent for which the customer is liable under the law. Normal wear and tear is not damage.

As far as reasonably possible, the lessor documents the basis of a claim with an inspection, photographs, repair quotation, replacement cost or other evidence. After a documented decision, the lessor may initiate a deposit capture, capture of a pre-authorisation, partial withholding of a charged deposit or a separate payment claim. Because of the technical payment flow, a payment or deposit action may occur before notice is sent to the customer. The customer is sent the reason and amount without undue delay and may submit an objection and evidence to hello@beautybox.ee. A disputed amount is corrected or refunded if the claim is unfounded or excessive.

A damage claim must reflect proven loss. Relevant considerations include a reasonable repair option, the device's previous condition and wear; the retail price of a new item is not automatically the compensation due. The customer may challenge the basis and calculation. Ordinary wear, a defect existing before handover or inadequate maintenance for which the lessor is responsible is not automatically treated as damage caused by the customer.

11. Lessor obligations and liability

The lessor does not knowingly hand over a device with a documented maintenance requirement and responds after learning of a reported fault or safety issue. If a device does not conform to the contract or cannot be used for a reason attributable to the lessor, the customer has the remedies provided by law. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability to the extent that such exclusion or limitation would be void by law.

12. Notices and complaints

Notices concerning the booking, payment, identity, access, return and claims are sent to the email address and, where necessary, the phone number provided by the customer. The customer is responsible for keeping contact details current.

A complaint should be sent to hello@beautybox.ee or submitted in writing to Rentbox Eesti OÜ at its address above. Include the booking number, description of the issue, requested solution and evidence where available. We respond to a consumer's written complaint within 15 days.

13. Personal data

The privacy policy applicable to the booking describes the processing of personal data, payment references, identity evidence, risk assessment, smart-locker events and return evidence.

14. Governing law and disputes

The contract is governed by Estonian law without depriving a consumer of protection afforded by mandatory rules of the consumer's country of residence. We first try to resolve disputes by negotiation. If an Estonian resident consumer and an Estonian registered trader do not reach agreement, the consumer may, after first complaining in writing, submit a free application within its competence to the Consumer Disputes Committee at the Estonian Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority (jvis.ttja.ee), or bring the matter before a court.

15. Versions and amendments

The version applicable to a booking is not changed unilaterally after the contract is formed. A new version applies to new bookings from publication. Statutory rights continue to apply if any provision is found to be void.

Browsing the website or remaining silent is not acceptance of new material contract terms. You can review the terms when booking and retain them with your confirmation. Acknowledging privacy information is neither consent to marketing nor general authorisation for every processing operation.
